Cultural visa
to participate in scientific, cultural, artistic, or sporting events

The following documents are required:


 

1. Visa application form (Click down to download) duly completed (electronically only/not by hand), printed, dated, and signed;

2. A recent identity photo (35 millimeters wide by 45 millimeters high).

3. Passport valid for at least 6 months and accompanied by a photocopy of the first two pages.

4. Proof of residence in the Netherlands of less than three months for the applicant or one of their parents when it concerns a minor (-18 years): Rental contract or electricity and gas bill or water bill or Internet bill. Failing that, the applicant must provide a BRP less than 6 months old;

5. Invitation* made by a partner or an Algerian or an organization to participate in a cultural, scientific, or sporting event.

6. Proof of funds: bank statement in the applicant's name dated within the last three months. The balance shown must be sufficient to cover the entire stay expenses (a minimum of 40 euros/day excluding hotel costs is currently required**). For minor children (under 18 years) and students, they can attach a parent's statement.

7. travel insurance certificate: in the name of the applicant or possibly in the name of their employer (indicating that it covers the employee on a mission abroad) mentioning Algeria as the destination country and including a minimum of 30,000 euros in guarantees for covering medical expenses and medical repatriation, in case of accident, illness, and repatriation of remains in case of death. This certificate must cover the entire duration of the visa's validity. Insurance certificates can be obtained from your insurance company, your bank, or a travel agency;

The payment of visa fees is made only by credit card at the Embassy (They vary according to nationality, type of passport, duration of travel, and number of entries). Visa fees are non-refundable in case of cancellation of the visa application by the applicant, regardless of the reason, and also in case of refusal of visa issuance by the Embassy;

Very Important:

- *The invitation must include the first and last name of the signatory who issues the invitation, their title, and the seal or stamp of the company or organization, as well as the first and last name of the invitee, their passport details, their title or position, the exact nature of the mission, the locations, and the dates.

  • For applicants who do not hold a Dutch passport, it is necessary to provide proof of legal residence in the Netherlands, through:


• For nationals of countries that are exempt from the residence permit requirement in the Netherlands: The presentation of a BRP (Basisregistratie Personen) certificate issued by the municipality of residence and dated within the last 6 months;

• For nationalities other than those mentioned above: it is necessary to provide a residence permit that is valid at the time of the application and on the expected expiration date of the visa.

-For minor children under the age of 18, the application must be submitted by one of the parents who must present the child's birth certificate (Uittreksel or Akte van geboorte) or the family record book and its photocopy to prove parentage;

-Incomplete applications and those that do not meet the requirements will not be accepted or processed.

-The Embassy reserves the right to request in writing, by email, or by phone, any other document not mentioned in the above list and any additional information it deems necessary for the processing of the visa application.
