Her Excellency Ambassador Salima Abdelhak, in her capacity as Governor of Algeria, participated in the 37th session of the Governing Council of the Common Fund for Commodities

Her Excellency Ambassador Salima Abdelhak, in her capacity as Governor of Algeria, participated in the 37th session of the Governing Council of the Common Fund for Commodities, accompanied by the Embassy’s Counsellor, serving as Alternate Governor. The Embassy made a valuable contribution through its involvement in the preparations for the session and by presenting Algeria’s positions on the agenda items, in addition to the approval of the Embassy Advisor’s nomination as Alternate Executive Director for the 2026–2027 term for the regional group to which Algeria belongs.
In Algeria’s statement, emphasis was placed on the importance of strengthening solidarity and cooperation to enable the Fund to carry out its mandate effectively, addressing challenges related to food security and sustainable development. The statement also highlighted Algeria’s tangible efforts in 2025 to achieve food security and develop the agriculture and food processing sectors, as well as its successful hosting of a major international event, Agri-Invest Algeria, reflecting Algeria’s commitment to regional and international cooperation.
